Limited-Time Summer Trainings

For this summer only, you can choose from 6 focused trainings that will no longer be available after Labor Day. These sessions are ideal for individual professional development, staff meetings, in-service days, or targeted support for specific roles.

Do the Cue: Providing Equitable Access to Phonemes Through Cued Speech
This three-part training for professionals and parents who are interested in learning about cued speech: the research behind it, how the cued speech system is set up, and why and how to apply it to support phonemic awareness skill development in DHH children.
Empowered by Stories: Building Self-Advocacy With D/HH Characters in Children's Literature
Discover the power of picture books as tools for teaching self-advocacy, independence, and identity to D/HH students! This training session explores how children’s literature featuring D/HH characters can foster meaningful discussions, build confidence, and provide relatable role models for students.
Working with Deaf Students with Autism
The teaching methods used in the field of Autism often need to be adapted to fully meet the needs of the Deaf student with Autism. This training discusses when use Deafness vs. Autism as primary disabilities on the IEP as well as ways to modify/adapt techniques/methods (PECS, Social Stories, Power Cards, etc) used in the field of Autism to a Deaf student who has a diagnosis of Autism.
Enhancing Access: Classroom Adaptions for Children Who are Deafblind and Deaf with Additional Disabilities
Designed to equip educators, paraprofessionals, interpreters, and parents with practical tools and strategies for supporting children who are deaf, deafblind, or deaf with additional disabilities ("deaf plus") in the classroom you'll learn essential adaptations that promote communication, independence, and meaningful access to the curriculum.
Sensory Regulation Strategies for Children who are Deafblind and Deaf with Additional Disabilities
Designed for parents, teachers, paraprofessionals, and interpreters working with children who are deaf, deafblind, or have additional disabilities, this training focuses on understanding sensory needs and introduces practical, evidence-informed tools to support regulation for students who need it. Participants will learn how to recognize signs of sensory dysregulation and implement effective interventions for both home and school.
Creating a Successful Transition to Fall for Your Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students
Getting everything organized so you can smoothly and efficiently close up the school year while gathering end-of-year data, organizing lesson plans and activities, and preparing your students for next fall can be overwhelming - especially if you are fighting your own end-of-the-year burn out. This training is your “easy button” - lining you up with lessons and activities to easily wrap up the school year, while getting everything set up for a stress-free launch in the fall.
