REGISTER FOR THE MASTER CLASS NOWJoin us for the first part of this three-part training for professionals and parents who are interested in learning about cued speech. Explore the research behind it, how the cued speech system is set up, and why and how to apply it to support phonemic awareness skill development in DHH children.
This session will cover a brief overview of the cued speech system along with videos showing cued speech being implemented with DHH children. Research supported rationale for Cued Speech will also be provided.

Part 2 of a three-part training for professionals and parents who are interested in learning about cued speech: the research behind it, how the cued speech system is set up, and why and how to apply it to support phonemic awareness skill development in DHH children.
This session will focus on the Fundamentals of Cued Speech. We will take a look at the basic system of Cued Speech and how it is put together.
Participants will learn
how to cue words with basic C/ V patterns and simple phrases.

Part 3 of a three-part training for professionals and parents who are interested in learning about cued speech: the research behind it, how the cued speech system is set up, and why and how to apply it to support phonemic awareness skill development in DHH children.
Participants will apply the knowledge of Cued Speech during hands on activities to practice the use of
cued speech with targeted phonemic awareness activities.
We will also go over examples of
phonemic awareness skills being taught in Foundations for Literacy for DHH Children and Gen
Ed reading curriculum.
Will also discuss ways to utilize CS with other team members (SLP,reading specialist, etc.) if the TOD does not work with the student(s) more than once or twice per week.

Classroom Adaptions for Children who are Deaf, Deafblind and Deaf Plus

Through hands-on activities, small group discussions, and formally presented content, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of cultural sensitivity and the daily challenges faced by our families.

For Children who are Deaf, Deafblind and Deaf Plus
REGISTER NOWThis session will take a look at a variety of strategies to encourage social inclusion and enhance the daily lives of Deaf children from homes where Spanish is the primary language will be shared.
The audience will watch a video featuring a parent sharing her experience, which will prompt meaningful discussions in small groups.
